Why is my webcam blurry?
Many webcams do not have automatic focus. To manually focus the webcam, twist the lens left or right until your webcam is in focus.
Why can't I get the audio to work?
First make sure you purchased a webcam that has a microphone. If so, there are two kinds of audio webcams. One of them has a headphone/microphone plug that splices off the main USB cable. Make sure it is plugged into the microphone jack on your computer.
If the description of the product you purchased says: the webcam uses USB audio- you'll have to make sure that you also change the 'Audio Input Device' to the USB webcam option when you configure the webcam program.
Be sure to check your computer's control panel to make sure your microphone isn't muted, as is often the case when it hasn't ever been used.
How can I view my webcam?
For any operating system there are a number of free webcam programs you can download.
Many chat clients like Skype, AIM, and Yahoo Messenger have the ability to share your webcam.
Setting up the webcam varies by the chat program, but you can usually you can find the configuration in the settings menu.
Just select the USB webcam option from the drop down or list. If you have problems, look up how to setup a USB webcam for that specific chat program.
Some versions of Windows have the ability to view webcams built into Windows Media Player or Internet Explorer. If your computer does not, you can find a 3rd party webcam viewing program.
